I think we’re going have to agree to disagree on this! I’m all for reducing developers involvement with infrastructure - but when you’re building a bespoke complex solution, with multiple features and services, millions of users, ingesting images and videos to run ML models on them, allowing other solutions to access the results securely and asynchronously, and so on - a cloud platform like AWS is only a help, not a hindrance.

I’m also not talking in generalisations - I use AWS every day, for both personal and work projects and it makes my job so much easier - it does allow me to focus on what’s important - improving the customer experience, adding new features quickly etc, as all the infrastructure elements are easy. I am that developer you’re talking about and I know AWS is what I need.
